Funding for Social Service Research
Funding is available to encourage and support social service research proposals. Some of the funds include:
Training in Research
Social service professionals are encouraged to take an interest in research and build capabilities through regular training. Training courses are available at the
Social Service Training Institute (SSTI). For more information on the above courses, please view the SSTI Training Directory FY09/10.
Research Network
The Research Network aims to bring together social service practitioners who are keen to build their research knowledge through sharing and learning. The network is held twice a year, and provides a platform to enable social service practitioners to strengthen their knowledge and skills in research, as well as promote a research culture in the social service sector. Guest speakers are invited to share on social service research, while participants can share their experiences in conducting social service research in their respective areas.
