2.         What is NCSS doing to promote research in the social service sector?

NCSS builds research capability and facilitates research amongst VWOs through the provision of funding support and sharing of research expertise and knowledge.  The Research Gateway is part of NCSS's efforts to facilitate social service research.  Moving forward, NCSS is exploring joint research or commissioning research with Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) towards an evidence-based approach for building relevant and needed services in the community.
